Valentine & Kebartas Harassment, Scam, Complaints

Valentine & Kebartas started out in 1994 as a two-member team concentrating on stellar performance, devoted to results, and responsiveness to customers. They’ve expanded considerably over time, and now boast offices in Massachusetts, Florida, Idaho, and Panama. They have a much diversified portfolio of debt services which they offer across sectors, like retail, bank cards, telecommunications, utilities, insurance, government, commercial leasing, and utilities. They offer pre-collection programs, near shore collections, third-party collections, and letter series. Valentine & Kebartas also provides their customers entry to a network of debt collection lawyers who take consumers to court.

Valentine & Kebartas says that their third-party debt collection “imparts a sense of urgency upon seriously delinquent customers….” Exactly how do they impart that sense of urgency? “Concerted calling campaigns supplemented by automated skip tracing and third-party notices.” If feels like those calling campaigns might skirt the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, FDCPA, within the last year Valentine & Kebartas has been named a defendant in over two dozen federal cases that claim the business violated the FDCPA.
